Learn to make beautiful sweet tarts with Pastry Chef Mayumi in this enjoyable French Tart class.

A good balance of demonstration and hands on, this small and intimate class is a great way to learn and experience making sweet tarts from scratch, from start to finish. 

Mayumi will share her secrets to making beautiful, buttery, flaky pastry from scratch to make three varieties of  tarts in three different flavours.

Make six beautiful tarts in three different flavours that will be boxed up for you to take home. Enjoy these tarts all for yourself or share them with your impressed family and friends.

Tart Citron Meringue 
Made with lemon curd & meringue to finish 
Tart Trois Chocolat  
Make this classic French mousse filling using 3 different kinds of chocolate.  Decorate with milk & white chocolate Chantilly.  
Tart au Fruit 
Using your homemade pastry create this tart with
Almond cream, mixed berry coulis & almond crumble 
Topped with fresh fruits to finish

This class is a wonderful class to enjoy individually or with a friend and usually runs either a Saturday or Sunday morning or afternoon.

About Chef Mayumi

Specialising in French pastry with an essence of her Japanese origin, Pastry Chef Mayumi create pastries and desserts with love and truly enjoys sharing her passion with people. Mayumi is well travelled and has lived in several countries to train her palate and skills, working in Japan, France and Singapore with many passionate chefs. She was inspired by “Olivier Bajard”, a world pastry champion in France and worked with Oliver at his pastry school “Ecole International de patisserie Olivier Bajard.  In Australia, Mayumi has worked at “Lake House”(2 hats restaurant) in Victoria, “Kazuki’s”(1 hat restaurant) in Melbourne, “The Bather’s Pavilion”(1 hat restaurant) and currently teaches Pastry at “Le Cordon Bleu” .

Now she joins us at Sydney Cooking School to share her love and enjoyment of making these beautiful pastries with you.
